On 22 February 2007, two students in Canada took a stand against bullying in their school by wearing and distributing pink shirts in solidarity with a student who was bullied for wearing one. Now 16 years later, Pink Shirt Day is acknowledged in schools around the world as a day to promote kindness in school and stand up against bullying. Today, St. Mary’s students joined the global community in promoting this message of peace and kindness.
