At St. Mary’s, play is at the heart of how our youngest students grow, create, and connect. This week, our Kindergarteners celebrated Global Play Day with an afternoon full of hands-on exploration, teamwork, and joy.
For two hours, students had free rein of a campus filled with exciting play activities. They experimented at the slime station, created with sidewalk chalk and flower crafts, mixed magical potions, built cardboard creations and obstacle courses, solved puzzles, engaged in dramatic play and interactive sports, and even baked their own bear cakes—and more!
When children take charge of their play, they build confidence, collaboration, and creativity—and our annual Global Play Day event is a great reminder of the need for unstructured play for children every day. Thank you to our incredible students and teachers for making this day so special!
